Thank you for considering gifting your wedding dress! All the dresses are given to a small shop in Trujillo, Peru where local brides-to-be come and pay a small fee to rent a dress for their wedding day. Then they return the dress, it is dry-cleaned and made ready for another bride! The process of opening and working in the bridal shop is helping one of the young women learn how to operate a small business, and the proceeds support the Luz de Vida transition home for young women.
Weddings are expected to be big and elaborate in South America, so many people go into debt for their wedding, or avoid getting married altogether. We want to help couples be able to make a marriage commitment and take away a little bit of the financial burden.
If you have questions about donating your dress, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or message us on Facebook. Otherwise, you can go ahead and follow the process below to gift your dress!
Thank you so much for wanting to be a part of this exciting project!
